Job Overview
Sports & Family Care Clinic is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Naturopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in holistic health practices and be committed to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and utilizing various naturopathic techniques to promote overall wellness. The Naturopath will work closely with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs monitoring.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and health goals.
- Administer IV infusions and injections, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Provide nutritional counseling and education to patients regarding healthy lifestyle choices.
- Perform venipuncture for blood draws as necessary for diagnostic purposes.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform treatment decisions and patient care strategies.
- Manage and treat personal injury cases with thorough documentation.
- Stay informed about medical terminology relevant to the practice and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Provide regenerative medicine services (prolotherapy, trigger point injections, injection therapies).
- Offer botulinum toxin treatments as part of therapeutic services when applicable.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive primary care for patients.
- Educate patients on prevention, wellness, and lifestyle strategies.
Requirements
- Valid certification or licensure as a Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD) or equivalent qualifications.
- Valid Acupuncture license/certifications.
- Proficient in IV insertion techniques and experience administering injections.
- Strong understanding of nutrition, pediatrics, functional medicine and patient care best practices.
- Knowledgeable in physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to naturopathic medicine.
- Ability to perform physical examinations and assess patient conditions effectively.
- Must have strong documentation skills, in a timely manner (72-hour turnaround).
- Develop evidence-based treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions.
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach towards patient interactions.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of naturopathy.
